I wanted to share with you all, a very special book. This simple message is near and dear to my heart. It is a book I wrote for children. A book of gratitude.

The book is called, “Thank You, Father: A Children’s Book of Gratitude”. Each page contains a small message of gratitude, a single verse of scripture, and a very simple illustration. My desire behind this book was to open the conversation, between loving adults and children, a conversation of noticing and giving thanks.

I woke one morning with the words and cadence of the book on my mind. It sounded like, “Goodnight Moon”. “Thank you, Father, for this day.” “Thank you, Father, for the friends with whom I’ll play.” I hope that it sticks with both the child and the adult, as they read it over and over, as little ones love to do. I pray that it plants a seed to remember to notice and to name the blessings throughout each day, blessings we often take for granted, stating we “have nothing to be thankful for.” They are all around us, miniscule and magnificent, the blessings of this life.
